Exposition sur l'Amour dans l'Antiquité (10/12/2009)

Une exposition sur le thème "Eros - De la Théogonie d'Hésiode à l'Antiquité tardive" est organisée au Musée de l'Art cycladique et sera inaugurée le 10 décembre. C'est la première fois qu'une exposition rassemble un aussi grand nombre d'objets sur le thème de l'Amour (Eros) et sa représentation dans l'Antiquité.

Des statues en marbre, des bijoux soit 272 antiquités greco-romaines du 6ème siècle av. notre ère jusqu'au 4ème siècle av. notre ère ont été envoyées par 50 musées de Grèce, Chypre, Italie et du Louvre.

Festival international du Cinéma à Athènes (11/09/2009)

Le 15ème Festival International du Cinéma d'Athènes sera organisé dans les salles de cinéma "Attikon", "Apollon" et "Danaos" du 16 au 27 septembre présentant des films d'Almodovar, de Nora Ephron et des rétrospectives consacrées aux cinéma "culte", films musicaux, d'horreur, des documentaires et des films grecs qui se sont distingués au cours de festivals étrangers.

La projection de quelque 150 films est prévue et le jury sera composé d'étudiants d'écoles d'art dramatique et de cinéma européen, dont l'âge varie de 18 à 25 ans.

Exposition à Athènes consacrée à la Femme dans l'Antiquité (22/07/2009)

Le Musée national Archéologique présente une exposition, dans le cadre de la commémoration du 180e anniversaire de sa fondation (1829) et du 120e anniversaire de son inauguration (1899), consacrée à la Femme dans l'Antiquité.

Cette exposition est organisée en commun et avec la coopération de la Fondation Alexandre Onassis sur la base du programme présenté au Centre Culturel Onassis (décembre 2008-mai 2009) à New York sur le thème "Worshipping women. Ritual and Reality in Classical Athens".

Cette exposition a été inaugurée lundi 20 juillet par le président de la République, Carolos Papoulias, et le ministre de la Culture, Antonis Samaras.

4e Festival de Dialogue Interculturel d’Icarie (09/07/2009)

Le Festival du Dialogue interculturel d’Icarie, ouvre ses portes le 9 juillet, pour la 4e année, sur l’ile d’Icarie, au nord-est de la mer Egée. Le but de cette institution est de présenter des oeuvres musicales, théâtrales et cinématographiques comportant des éléments multiculturels. Le Festival invite des artistes de tout le monde qui favorisent avec leurs créations le dialogue interculturel. Au programme, jusqu’au 23 août, des films de l’Institut du Film Méditerranéen, des artistes-compositeurs fameux, comme la chanteuse hongroise Marta Sebestyen, le compositeur grec Mimis Plessas ainsi que de nouveaux créateurs, entre autres, la chanteuse Valentina Montoya Martinez avec Voces Del Sur et la fameuse bande grecque Ypoghia Revmata.

2e Biennale Art Contemporain 2009 à Thessalonique (20/05/2009)

Les organisateurs de la 2e Biennale d'Art contemporain 2009 de Thessalonique - qui débute dimanche 24 mai et durera jusqu'au 27 septembre - tentent de recentrer le concept de l'art sur la "Praxis" et la Vie.

Sous le titre et sur le thème "Praxis: L'Art dans des temps incertains", 57 artistes de Grèce et de l'étranger présenteront leurs oeuvres dans 15 endroits différents de la ville, dans le cadre du programme central de l'organisation de la Biennale.

Un programme parallèle prévoit entre autres des expositions d'oeuvres d'art d'artistes de pays de l'UE, un Festival Performance avec la participation de 28 artistes de 14 pays, une exposition sur l'art moderne en Grèce, des ateliers d'artistes, des panoramas de la gravure moderne grecque, des programmes de formation.

Athènes en photos de 1855 à 1955 au musée Benakis (14/05/2009)

Le Musée Benakis (centre d'Athènes) présente jusqu'au 14 juin un panorama photographique de l'évolution d'Athènes de 1855 à 1955 à partir de la collection Constantin Tripos.

L'exposition est intitulée "Athènes, transformations du paysage urbain à partir de la collection de l'histoire néo-hellène de Constantinos Tripos.

ROCKWAVE FESTIVAL 2009 (GNA - 30/03/09) 

An impressive line-up has been announced for this year’s Rockwave Festival.

The three-day event (June 27-29, at Malakasa) opens with performances by Moby, Gypsy Punk act Gogol Bordello and alternative rockers Placebo. Current sensation Duffy is scheduled to appear on the second day – her first visit to Greece.

The last day of the Festival is devoted to heavy metal with appearances by Motley Crew, Monster Magnet, Arch Enemy and Lauren Harris, among others. 

The Rockwave Festival is an annual three-day event that has been around since 1996, having proven to be a huge success both with the younger crowd as well as older rock music fans. Tickets are already available, with discount prices for those who book early. 

La Fondation des Arts plastiques et Musique "Vassilis et Marina Theocharakis" (Vassilis Sofias et Merlin) organise pour la première fois en Grèce, du 28 novembre au 22 février, une exposition de peintures titrée "L'Epoque Moderne - De Monet à Yves Klein", qui réunira 48 artistes européens de renom et sera articulée autour de trois mouvements historiques de l'art moderne et contemporain : l'avant-garde des années 1920-1930 (Dadaïsme, Surréalisme, Cubisme), l'Art informel et l'Abstraction lyrique des années 1940-1950 et enfin les radicaux du réalisme des années 1960 avec les mouvements du Nouveau Réalisme et de la Figuration Narrative.

Les oeuvres qui seront présentées à cette exposition proviennent du Musée d'Art moderne de Saint-Etienne, qui dispose de la deuxième plus grande collection en France (15.000 oeuvres), du Centre Pompidou, du Musée Picasso et autres services culturels de France : le Fonds Régional d'Art contemporain (FRAC) et le Fonds National d'Art contemporain (FNAC).

49^th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (GNA 13/11/2008)

Faithful to its annual rendezvous with cinephiles, the 49th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, Greece's grandest and most prestigious film event opens its doors on November the 14, 2008, bringing about the transformation of the city of Thessaloniki to a youthful hive of life and creative association.

Multi-awarded Belgian auteurs Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, heretical Japanese actor and director Takeshi Kitano, unconventional English director Terence Davies, internationally renowned and two-time Academy Award winner Argentinean composer Gustavo Santaolalla and Brazilian director Walter Salles are only a few of the big names of modern cinema that are expected to honour this year's festival with their presence. 

The event features the International Competition, the Greek Cinema section, the Independence Days programme, the Balkan Survey, and numerous retrospectives and tributes to leading figures in the world of film.

The International Competition Section caters to first or second features by new and emerging filmmakers. Feature films will vie for the two main awards: the Golden and the Silver Alexander. The festival's Jury includes the writer Michael Ondaatje as president, Director Yesim Ustaoğlu, FilmCritic and Historian David Robinson, and Screenwriter Diablo Cody as members.

At the same time various events, such as art exhibitions and concerts, and industry initiatives (special Masterclasses, a Script Development Fund for South-Eastern Europe, the Crossroads Co-Production Forum, and the Salonica Studio student workshops) have turned the Thessaloniki TIFF into a major event on the European film festival circuit.

Le 49eme Festival International du Film de Thessaloniki 

Fidèle à son rendez-vous annuel avec les cinéphiles, le 49e Festival international du film de Thessalonique, le plus grand événement cinématographique de la Grèce, ouvre ses portes le 14 Novembre. Ennio Morricone en représentation à Herode Atticus (26/09/08)

Le célèbre compositeur, Ennio Moriccone, dirigera au théâtre Herode Atticus les 28 et 29 septembre - la première exécution au niveau mondial - de son oeuvre symphonique que lui-même qualifie d'hellénique, car étant inspiré de l'Epitaphe de Seikilos trouvé à Adana en Asie mineure et qui constitue une des rares inscriptions de la musique grecque antique.

"Je viens pour rendre hommage à Athènes avec une oeuvre née des milliers d'années auparavant et qui a des influences du Proche-Orient et dont l'évolution a influencé la musique de Rome, de l'Irlande, des Etats-Unis et des gospels", a déclaré avec émotion Ennio Moriccone.

Exhibition on Cultural Heritage (GNA - 24/09/08)

The project "Plants and culture: seeds of the cultural heritage of Europe" (PaCE) aims to recover and promote green cultural heritage common to Europe in 2008. The main ideas guiding this project are the improvement and dissemination of knowledge of the different botanical cultures in the history of European countries, and the safeguarding of their common cultural heritage.

In its research and popularization activities, the PaCE project focuses mainly on the links between plants and culture. It draws on an innovative partnership among universities, museums, archaeologists, botanists and zoologists from European countries, as well as supporting museums such as the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki in Greece, which is hosting a poster exhibition as part of the PaCE project, from September 26 to December 31, 2008. 

Athens Photo Festival 

Beginning this week, the Athens Photo Festival (www.hcp.gr) forms part of an international network of photography events, transforming Athens into the centre of the international photography stage.

The aim of the festival is to broaden the existing platform as a showcase for Greek photography. This year’s event will welcome over 200 artists from Greece and abroad, with exhibitions in over 30 exhibition areas throughout the city of Athens. A set of parallel activities of great interest, are scheduled to take within the framework of Festival creating a broad-ranging platform for artistic expression.

"Les Sept Merveilles du Monde" au Planétarium (ANA - 23/09/08)

La sixième période hivernale de fonctionnement du nouveau planétarium numérique de la Fondation Evgenidio à Athènes, un des planétariums les plus grands et mieux équipés au monde, s'ouvrira le 6 octobre avec une nouvelle représentation numérique "Les Sept Merveilles du Monde".

Grâce à une technologie de pointe et des reconstitutions numériques impressionnantes, la nouvelle représentation fera voyager le spectateur dans le passé pour visiter la Pyramide de Khéops, la statue de Zeus à Olympie, les Jardins suspendus de Babylone, le Phare d'Alexandrie, le temple d'Artémis à Ephèse, le Colosse de Rhodes et le Mausolée d'Halicarnasse.

Par la suite, la représentation continue avec les sept merveilles du système solaire et les sept merveilles de l'univers.

Green Design Festival (GNA - 04/09/08)

From September 10 to October 1, the Green Design Festival (www.greendesignfestival.gr) is taking place in Athens. With Syntagma Square at its epicentre and parallel activities in various locations, the festival aims at fostering a wider understanding of environmental and ecological issues. Participants include over 70 architects, industrial and graphic designers, fashion and street artists.

The festival programme revolves around the "ecomuseum of green design," a green, temporary open playground at Syntagma Square. The ecomuseum showcases the vast majority of projects in a light, alternative construction which will host exhibitions of photography, eco-conscious fashion, industrial design, video art and mixed media, a green library and a small open-air amphitheatre made of wooden re-used palettes for concerts and educational activities.

Samedi 6 septembre, les portes du 11e Festival du documentaire méditerranéen s'ouvriront au Parc technologique et culturel de Lavrion, organisé par la préfecture de l'Attique orientale, l'Association des metteurs en scène et producteurs grecs, la Société de mise en valeur et gestion du patrimoine de l'Ecole polytechnique.

Jusqu'au 9 septembre, le programme comprend 27 projections de Grèce, France, Egypte, Italie, Israël, Espagne, Turquie, Portugal et Territoires palestiniens.

Le Festival est placé sous l'égide du ministère de la Culture et de ERT SA, du Centre hellénique du Cinéma et de Media Desk.

The 11th Mediterranean Documentary Festival will be hosted from September 6 to 9 at the Lavrion Technological Cultural Park. The festival is organized by the Association of Greek Film Directors and Producers. This year, the festival screens 26 movies from Greece, Italy, France, Israel, Egypt, Spain, Turkey, Portugal and Palestine. In addition to the traditional sections of work, immigration, political documentary film, people and places, there will also be an eco section, thus inaugurating a collaboration with the eco festival EcoFilms.

The festivall kicks off with "Cairo" (1991) in memory of the late Egyptian director Youssef Chahine. The festival will also screen "The band’s visit" by Eran Kolirin, a joint production by Egypt and Israel followed by a discussion moderated by Kolirin on behalf of the Greek Film Critics Association. This year’s parallel events include a concert by Thanos Mikroutsikos and an exhibition featuring film posters. The Mediterranean Documentary Festival is not based on competition and therefore includes movies which are selected on the basis of the mark they have left in their time.

L'exposition "Plantes et tradition: Une autre optique de la biodiversité" a ouvert ses portes dans les installations du Musée de la Forêt pétrifiée de Lesvos à Sigri, en collaboration avec l'Université de l'Egée.

L'exposition, qui restera ouverte jusqu'au 31 août, s'inscrit dans le cadre du programme des festivités estivales "Fêtes de la Terre 2008".

La municipalité de Mytilène organise du 16 au 20 juillet à "Tsamakia" pour la deuxième année la Fête de la Terre éolienne.

Il s'agit d'une exposition de produits locaux et de métiers traditionnels et de la présentation d'organisations culturelles et bénévoles, laquelle s'inscrit dans le cadre de l'"Eté de Lesvos" ayant pour but de faire la rencontre des producteurs locaux avec les consommateurs de l'île mais aussi les visiteurs.

L'Institut de l'Audiovisuel (IOM) et le Centre européen du Dessin animé organisent la 2e ANIMART, la rencontre d'été sur l'animation et autres techniques numériques, du 13 au 20 juillet à Monodendri-Ioannina.

ANIMART est placée sous l'égide du ministère de la Culture et du SG à la Jeunesse, avec le soutien de la Fondation Rizarion, la municipalité de Zagori et les autorités départementales de Ioannina. The Rockwave Festival, a musical event held every summer in Athens, has established its reputation since its inception 12 years ago. This year, Terra Vibe Park opens its gates and prepares its two stages on July 8, 9 and 10 to host a line up of more than thirty Greek and international artists for all music tastes from metal to pop. Headliners in 2008 are The Offspring, Manu Chao and Judas Priest.  

From 6 to 10 of July, in Hermoupolis, on the island of Syros, will perform world famous guitar players at 15th Guitar Festival. It includes concerts, seminars, competition on new guitarists and many improvisation events in progress.

La culture et l'environnement, non seulement des monuments mais aussi de l'organisation de la vie quotidienne, sont au centre du programme 2008 du Centre de Delphes, du 4 au 12 juillet.

Le Centre culturel européen de Delphes ouvre ses manifestations par le symposium "Culture et environnement" dans le cadre duquel, en collaboration avec le Département d'Agronomie de l'Université d'Athènes et la Direction consultative d'Orientation professionnelle et des Activités éducatives (SEDEP), des experts soumettront leurs propositions sur la sauvegarde et la protection de l'environnement.

Par ailleurs, le Centre de Delphes présentera au public grec, dans le cadre des manifestations grecques en l'honneur de la présidence française de l'UE, l'oeuvre du peintre grec de culture française, Mayo, de son vrai nom Antoine Malliarakis, qui a vécu à Paris dans les années '30 et a connu tous les grands artistes de l'époque.

Ecofilms  - GNA 20/06/2008

The Ecofilms international films and visual arts festival (www.ecofilms.gr) takes place from June 24 to 29 on the island of Rhodes. 52 Greek films and 80 international works are participating this year. The annual event attracts films from around the world, mainly on environmental subjects, ranging from climate change, to the threat of desertification and the energy crisis to water resource management. Ecofilms takes "eco" in its ancient Greek meaning, to include human relationships, as well as the inner human world. 

En explorant la Grèce: Les photos de l’helléniste français, Hubert Pernot (Grèce hebdo 12/06/2008)

Le linguiste et helléniste français, Hubert Pernot, fut le premier à faire confiance à la puissance de la photographie qu’il a amplement utilisée pour documenter sa recherche et aussi pour réveiller chez les français l’intérêt pour la Grèce. Il a parcouru la Grèce en quête de sujets à photographier qui, dans leur ensemble, composent une fresque unique du pays, une recherche authentique du paysage et de ses habitants de 1898 a 1913, peu avant les grands changements engendrés par les guerres des Balkans. Une sélection de ce matériel unique, qui constitue la collection H. Pernot, abritée à la bibliothèque de l’Institut Néohellénique de la Sorbonne, sera présentée pour la première fois dans une exposition au musée Benaki, sous le titre ’En explorant la Grèce’, jusqu’au 31 août. Cette collection de grande valeur, qui montre l’aspect des villes et de la campagne, est une vraie  mine d’information ethnologique.

DANCING IN GREECE 

Greece’s most high-profile dance event, the Kalamata International Dance Festival (www.kalamatadancefestival.gr) organised by the city of Kalamata and considered one of the leading dance events in the Mediterranean, is scheduled to take place from July 18 to 30. 

The festival’s rich programme features many international performers and a Greek troupe (Apostolia Papadamaki’s Quasi Stellar) as well as seminars, talks and lectures aimed at dance students and professionals alike, while other parallel events include publications, video dance productions, silent movies and a live hip-hop performance (Niels "Storm" Robitzky).

Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter, enfant terrible of the London scene, opens the festival. Other important performances include South African Gregory Maqoma, Chinese Ushio Amagatsu, and British choreographer-dancer Jonathan Burrows. A highlight of this year’s event will be a Greek-Dutch dance project, carried out with the support of the Hellenic-Dutch Association of Commerce and Industry (www.heda.gr).  

The festival is scheduled to take place in Kalamata’s historic castle that overlooks the city, as well as at other venues, such as the Municipal Regional Theatre and the city’s Cultural Centre.

Thessaloniki International Book Fair 

The fifth International Book Fair of Thessaloniki is being held from May 29 to June 1 at the HELEXPO exhibition site by the city’s waterfront. A rich programme of events will take place in association with the fair, including literary meetings of writers from Greece and abroad and book presentations, special tributes, seminars, conferences, round tables, professional seminars and other events in the city.

This year a new institution will be introduced at the fair, a country guest of honour. France will be the first country honoured, with a wide range of activities presenting its publishing and writing power.

Manifestations culturelles "Parfum de l'Egée" les 22-25 mai (09/05/2008)

Les manifestations culturelles "Parfum de l'Egée" sont organisées du 22 au 25 mai par le ministère de la Marine marchande, de l'Egée et de la Politique insulaire. Les manifestations auront lieu dans l'espace culturel "Technopolis" de la municipalité d'Athènes à Gazi, proche du centre ville.

Dans une présentation des manifestations jeudi, le ministre, Georges Voulgarakis, a cité l'exposition "Terra 4" pour les îles du Nord-Est de l'Egée, Lesvos, Limnos, Samos et Chios.

M. Voulgarakis a souligné que la Grèce est le champion incontestable des pays méditerranéens avec la plus grande étendue de côtes, soit environ 16.000 km, cet atout étant en cours d'être transformé en avantage concurrentiel via une politique insulaire visant au développement durable, en association avec la protection du patrimoine naturel et culturel.

8e Festival européen de Jazz du 25 mai au 1er juin à Athènes (09/05/2008)

Le 8e Festival européen de Jazz aura lieu du 25 mai au 1er juin à Athènes avec la participation de 15 pays membres de l'UE à l'espace polyvalent "Technopolis" de la municipalité d'Athènes à Gazi (à proximité du centre ville).

Cette fête, qui est devenue une institution dans les affaires culturelles de l'été et constitue un des moments culturels majeurs de la coopération de l'Europe unie, est organisée cette année par la Grèce en collaboration avec les ambassades des pays participants et les instituts culturels correspondants fonctionnant à Athènes. Le programme du festival comprend trois concerts par jour. L'entrée est gratuite.

Prolongation de l'exposition "Toulouse Lautrec et la Belle Epoque à Paris et Athènes" (07/05/2008)

C'est avec l'arrivée de 17 nouveaux tableaux que la durée de l'exposition "Toulouse Lautrec et la Belle Epoque à Paris et Athènes", organisée depuis décembre au Musée Hérakleidon à Thisseion (Athènes) est prolongée jusqu'en octobre, alors que la clôture était prévue pour le 4 mai.

Les nouvelles oeuvres présentées au Musée sont principalement des portraits, des gravures et des affiches. Henri de Toulouse Lautrec a créé trente affiches dont la plus célèbre est celle du Moulin Rouge.

Des oeuvres de Dimitris Galanis et Nicolas Gyzis, exemples de la Belle Epoque à Athènes, sont également présentées à cette exposition.

Exposition collective Klasen-Carras à Athènes

Le vernissage de l'exposition collective de l'artiste plasticien allemand d'avant-garde, Peter Klasen, et du peintre grec de renom, Christos Carras, a eu lieu ce mardi à la salle Fine Arts-Kapopoulos à Athènes.

Le secrétaire d'Etat aux Affaires étrangères, Petros Doukas, inaugurera l'exposition qui gardera ses portes ouvertes au public jusqu'au 7 juin.

This conference is the first in a series of international gatherings organized by UNESCO and its Member States to foster awareness and provide fora for reflection and exchanges on the issue of the return of cultural property. This meeting will also provide an opportunity to consider means of strengthening the action of the Intergovernmental Committee.

Digital culture festival enters fourth year 

The Athens Video Art Festival 08 will be held on April 11-13, at the Technopolis of Athens.The event, already celebrating its fourth birthday, aims at the support of digital culture and the promotion of this modern and innovative form of expression. Furthermore, it gives the artists additional motives to create, and a platform to share their artistic vision with the public. Through its three very successful previous events, the festival has already gained global recognition. Artists may participate with works of video art, installation art, web art and performance art. The deadline for submissions is February 15.

The National Museum of Contemporary Art presents a young generation of Greek artists at the Athens Concert Hall, December 13, 2007 to March 31, 2008.. The exhibition, featuring artists born after 1965, aims at the widest possible investigation of the contemporary artistic landscape of Greece. The exhibition, entitled "In Present Tense: Young Greek Artists," attempts a thorough investigation of current concepts such as globalisation and multiculturalism, and features 34 artists who work in Greece and abroad.  

Young Architects 

The Biennale of Young Greek Architects (Benaki Museum, 15.12.2007-20.1.2008) is an event that has become an institution for the architectural world, in line with its activities to showcase and develop contemporary architectural thought and practice.

Mail-Art-Biennale 

An International Mail Art Biennale is taking place online (www.1st-mailart-greek-biennale.blogspot.com) and in situ (city of Larissa, from December 8).

Vingt-quatre ans après la première organisation des manifestations culturelles consacrées au grand poète grec d'Alexandrie, Constantin Kavafis, les "Kavafia" -manifestations culturelles majeures pour l'Egypte et l'Hellénisme d'Alexandrie- seront célébrées en Macédoine et plus particulièrement à Kavala.

Les "Kavafia", sur décision du ministère grec des Affaires étrangères, sont organisées à Kavala à partir de mardi jusqu’au jeudi 25 octobre dans le cadre d'une tentative de promouvoir le rôle important joué dans l'évolution des relations greco-égyptiennes par le fondateur de l'Egypte moderne, Mehemet Ali qui est né à Kavala.

Places of Contemporary Art

The "Places" [in Greek: Τόποι]  exhibition (26.9 - 25.11.2007) presents a selection of works by Greek and foreign artists from the collection of the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki on display at the Benaki Museum, the Athens School of Fine Arts, and the Zappeion Hall,  as well as in various other gallery spaces in Athens.

Photography in Athens 

The 14^th International Month of Photography in Athens is taking place from September 14 to November 14 at twenty downtown galleries through a large number of solo and group exhibitions. 

ReMap KM, A Contemproary Art Programme 

ReΜap KM is a project running parallel to the 1^st Athens Biennial(10.9 - 18.11.2007), is taking place from September 8 to November 24 at the Kerameikos/Metaxourgeio (KM) downtown district of Athens. Through ephemeral art interventions, platforms and installations, the project is to open up different possibilities for linking the tangible world of buildings, streets & urban landscapes with contemporary art practices, social networks & modes of communication. ReMap KM includes international art galleries' shows, an open-air video-art & film screening programme, street art & graffiti interventions, an environmental program & various independent architecture & fashion projects.

Vavel’s Comics Festival 

The 12-year-old Vavel International Comics Festival will take place from June 14 to 17, at the Technopolis, Gazi, Athens. The festival includes a tribute to the French cartoonist Phillipe Drouillet, a retrospective on the Hungarian artist Ferenc Pinter, two seminars, co-organised with the Aegean University, focused on the art of comic-making, script techniques, and many others.

“Women in ancient drama” is the theme of the 13^th International Conference on Ancient Drama, to be held at the European Cultural Centre of Delphi (July 6 - 21).

Thessaloniki Celebrates Ancient Drama 

The National Theatre of Northern Greece is organising the 1^st Theatre Festival of South-Eastern Europe focus on ancient drama, in Thessaloniki from June 14 to July 13. Eight theatre organisations from eight countries will perform ancient Greek plays, as well as modern ones inspired by myths that ancient drama employs.

Hellenic Foreign Trade Board is organizing the 2^nd International Kerasma Conference on Greek Gastronomy and the Food, Wine and Spirits Industry (Heraklion, Crete, 8-9.6 & Santorini 10.6.2007).
